212) Barbers of Lower Grangegorman Road, D7

Just off the beaten track of Stoneybatter, tucked away in an otherwise residential backwater. We would have passed it by were it not for the super massive BAR sign of neon red calling attention. Novelty value is high: the pub also functions as a fully operational barber shop. One can get a haircut whilst sinking a pint. Much of the paraphernalia of the hair-shearing trade is present. Light fixtures are made from old hair dryers and a massive stuffed goat’s head stares down at punters as they enter. Old ads on the walls lend interest. Live music is recurrent and they advertise their entertainment as ‘cutting edge’! The pub was previously called: O’Dowd’s, The Grange Inn [1], and ‘The Orchard.’
