162) The Bottler’s Bank of Terenure Road East, D6

A ontime agreeable traditional pub, and home to a frightful lack of light. There are fine wooden pillars and details surrounding a central clock behind the bar. Unfortunately now offering a wide selection of craft piss and shit pizza dragging most of its charm into the gutter. An authentic snug can be sat in with a hatch to the bar. The said snug has been filmed for bank ad’s and the like. Also, behind the bar are wooden drawers akin to the grocers and chemists of the past. Alas, just the drink to cure what ails you here.

ENDNOTE:

The Bottler’s Bank has Coman’s pub as it’s next door neighbour which has been long shut due to a bitter familial feud that involved a battle in court. In 2019, Pat and Mary Coman left their entire €4 million estate to their 6 daughters, and left their 6 sons with nothing. The pub remains closed. Another ‘pub’ just across the road is The 108, owned by the insufferable Galway Bay Brewery - the awful wannabe Wetherspoons. This is but a gastritis room, or a gastroroom, if you will. Avoid.
