35) Pravda/The Grand Social of Lower Liffey Street, D1

Fairly obnoxious late-night affair facing the Ha'penny Bridge, as well as the famous statue of two gossiping aul wans on a bench, known locally and acutely-cum-accurately as 'The Hags with the Bags'. A Saturday market spills onto the street and attracts a lot of hawkers and gawkers keen for hipster wares. Interior is cavernous and easy to get lost in – very gig-friendly; occasional book launches also occur. You can get your picture taken in a little booth, if that gives you the horn. Sam Coll once puked outside in broad daylight. Small wonder they didn't let him back in.

A putrid little puker puking up his puke. Such debauchees are legion on Saturdays.
