11) The Lincoln's Inn of Lincoln Place, D2

Site of the former Finn's Hotel where Jim met Nora and from where the couple subsequently went out wanking together and all was well. To honour this fact they serve three special beers on draught: Bloomsday Lager, Joyce’s Stout and Nora’s Red Ale. Portraits of other greats adorn the walls to stress the literary heritage, though whether the likes of Shaw or Yeats ever visited the place is debatable at best. Food is plentiful and encouraged but a stickler for stout can have their way as well. A large window gifts the solitary with a dynamic view of ever changing crowds outside the National Gallery, human and mechanical traffic alike scooting by. Often visited by Mahmoud, a bartender from the Pavilion round the corner, seeking respite from cleaning up after sloppier students. Popular with tourists and collegial societies, notably the Metaphysical, who repair there after their Tuesday evening talks.
