293) The Comet of Swords Road, Santry, D9

Massive wood-fired pizzas are baked on the premises and the massive ovens dominate a side wall on entry. A peculiar sign in the smoking area warns of 'inclement weather' making for slippery ground. Hard to judge this voluminous establishment as our sole visit took place during a premiership final and seats were an impossible luxury. Across the road sits the village dentist's, marked outside by a massive (and ugly) wooden carving of a tooth, toothbrush and toothpaste – a curious dentally-minded landmark.
