However, the interior is of great architectural interest, replete with frescoes and marbles, columns and statues, with tall windows attracting vast quantities of sunlight on a good day, and the high ceilings serving to stimulate edified discourse. Elderly couples are fond of canoodling on the couches, planting wet smackers on ancient cheeks, bony hands clawing at chicken thighs – ah, 'twould do yer heart good to see it, so 'twould (or turn your stomach sideways – ageist!).
