262) The Stoneboat of Sundrive Road, Kimmage, D12

SC: Once upon a time this was Christy Brown's local. Large and dark and faintly threatening.

AS: Perhaps we were sitting at the wrong bar, there are three of them! The back-bar is different to the main bar and the ‘select’ lounge is separate again. In the lounge there are three deep and hollow squares with windows at the end akin to the style of a boat and the ceiling at the back is curved. Beamish can be your cry! There’s a big emphasis on food with a carvery station at the back. The main bar has many maritime knickknacks including a life sized underwater diving suit. Perhaps worth a revisit?
