121) The Yacht Tavern of Thorncastle Street, Ringsend, D4

Only a rope’s throw from where both the Grand Canal and the River Dodder succumb to the Liffey. This is a comforting little ship, an intimate pub handsomely decorated with nautical memorabilia. A bright bulbous ship’s lantern is brightly lit at the back of the back, and a tasty Guinness can be taken to traditional live music. ‘Sail away’ is their motto, and two huge oars are suspended from the ceiling. Well worthy of a visit and not to be confused with The Yacht Bar of Clontarf.
