Some of the torch-bearing and sinuously dressed female statues, seen propping up the corners of the curvy counters, seem of the same mould and manufacture as those later glimpsed in the Bowery of Rathmines (and akin also to those similar figures later eliminated from the exterior of the Shelbourne by the PC mob in 2020, under the ignorant and misguided impression that these ‘princesses’ were ‘slaves’, and therefore eminently cancellable). A very fine interior which features a mosaic floor, various stained-glass and a row of lamplights over the bar. It has intricately carved wooden dividers, a blood red ceiling, and boasts two façades: one on Liffey Street Lower, and the more impressive on Middle Abbey Street. An overemphasis on expensive cocktails and fast food is unfortunate.
