208) Pipers Corner (formerly Sean O’Casey’s) of Marlborough Street, D1

A new eyesore with its two enormous tacky prints of Seamus Ennis, the late uillean piper, on the corner of both Marlborough street and Sackville Place. Inside you’ll find the cheapest décor at every turn: unpainted plywood and large blackboards, many of which have long inscriptions about gin and tonic and smelly IPA’s. Occasionally live trad music is on show which is always welcome, but be prepared to pay top dollar to sit in bottom of the barrel surrounds. We wonder when this ‘pop-up pub’ will pop-off.
